how_to_photograph_your_part.txt

Lay the part flat on a plain, contrasting background in good, even light.
Shoot straight on, not at an angle: top, front, side, plus one angled overview.
Put a ruler or tape measure right next to the part, in the same plane, in every shot.
Take close-ups of holes, threads, clips, and mating surfaces.
Write the key measurements (calipers if you have them) in the form.
If it's broken, photograph all the pieces, and the spot it mounts to if possible.
For drawings: flat, whole sheet in frame, no glare, dimensions readable.
